A DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE 2018

                             

On July 4^th, 1776, the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence, which proclaimed the independence of a new United States of America from Great Britain and its king. The declaration came 442 days after the first shots of the American Revolution were fired at Lexington and Concord in Massachusetts and marked an ideological expansion of the conflict that would eventually involve France’s intervention on behalf of the Americans.

In justifying American independence, Jefferson drew generously from the political philosophy of John Locke, an advocate of natural rights, and from the work of other English theorists. The declaration features the immortal lines, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” It then went on to present a long list of grievances that provided the rationale for rebellion. On July 2, 1776, the Continental Congress voted to approve a Virginia motion calling for separation from Britain. The dramatic words of this resolution were added to the closing of the Declaration of Independence.

And now here we are on July 4^th, 2018, once again faced with the tyranny of an unhinged despot and instead of taking to the streets and rebelling against him, removing him from his throne, we are instead casually preparing to barbecue while Rome burns.

Every day for the last year and a half we have bared witness to an endless attack on America by a stupid, inept carnival barker/fool who, who has made a fortune (on paper) on the backs of day laborers (who he refuses to pay) by writing off towering debt.  And when no American bank would lend him bail out money anymore, that is when the fool turned to the Soviets and racketeered a loan, Mafia-style, through Deutsche Bank (Trump's personal banker there was the son of Anthony Kennedy, who is now fully cooperating with the conspiracy by stepping down so a Trump endorsed Supreme Court justice can be in place for when he is impeached and the case for his survival will be headed to the very same court.

Trump has been renting apartments in New York to one convicted Russian criminal after another.  He has sold real estate to them for ten times what he paid.

We all know that this egomaniacal moron had no intention of ever becoming President.  His entire campaign was never meant to be anything more than a frat boy/trust fund baby goof en route to him extending his brand so he could become like his personal hero, Rupert Murdoch, to create The Trump Network, which would no doubt be a cash cow hybrid of Fox and the QVC created to hypnotize and/or seduce those millions of born every minute suckers who contribute their savings to shyster televangelists, while investing heavily in lottery tickets and the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes as they pray on Sundays for their miracles.

Trump did everything he could do to fail, beginning with his opening salvo about Mexican immigrants.  That was right out of the Howard Stern playbook, whose show Trump has appeared on countless times.  The problem was what he does best is fail and this time he failed in his own favor.

Putin put his muscle behind him for one simple reason: to disrupt our election by jumping into the clown car and hitting as many innocent victims as he could.  If you can’t poison or toss people off of rooftops, you get behind Trump.

Putin’s Russia has not been a superpower for decades.  Not content to become one of the richest billionaires in the world, through fraud and murder, he was obsessed with destroying America from the inside.  Since he despised Hillary Clinton, he was, at the very least, hoping for chaos.

No one could have predicted what was to come.  Between Russia’s infiltration (thanks to the fine work of Cambridge Analytica and by proxy Facebook) and Hillary Clinton’s inability to present a strong case to those who despised the status quo, let the entire democratic process fall down the rabbit hole, sewer style.

Every day since, Trump, who has never been anything more than a Roy Cohn butt boy, has been forced to pay back with interest, all the money that the Soviets rained on him by endlessly colluding with them.

The plan was and is quite simple:  Destroy America from the inside.   Dismantle every single accomplishment of the Obama administration (who Putin also despised) by having the heads of every cabinet position, who are all incompetent idiots, from Betsy DeVos to Scott Pruitt to Ben Carson to Ricky Perry single-handedly destroy their departments.  Create chaos with your allies.  Embrace thugs. Destroy the planet.  Take away any kind of restrictions and let banks and corporations have a field day.

And it has been working. Big time.  We are being weakened by the minute.  And a summit is coming with Putin.   Can Trump possibly be more fuck you brazen?

By having a racist pig/pathological liar for a President (he was involved in the biggest class action suit in New York history when he refused to rent to people of color), chaos is even more assured.

The difference between Hitler and Trump is that Hitler had a plan.  A vision. 

Both Trump and his meandering son Barron are on the spectrum (a genetic predisposition for the boy) and that is why Trump is literally incapable of empathy.

His wife is a clueless pull toy/soft porn model who quacks on demand.  How anyone can take the kind of public humiliation that she has is anyone’s guess.  I’m going with Trump’s behind the scenes threat that she either cooperate or back her parents go to the Eastern Bloc.

Basically, we have ourselves the new Caligula with the very same kind of values and as a result, an epidemic of colossal stupidity has spread like an infection in the hearts and minds of America’s most gullible and needy.

The Nazi-themed “Make Your Country Great Again” slogan is exactly what captivated war-torn Germany in the 1930s.  The uptick of anti-Semitism both here in and Europe has been staggering.

To think that what happened in 1941 could not happen again is beyond naive.  You would have said the very same thing about the rise of Trump last November.

Watching the return of internment camps alone should trigger every single alarm system in your head.

So much is being disfigured and distorted that clarity doesn’t have a chance.

Patriotism has a new definition: self-entitlement.

It’s all about what you can get because you think you deserve it.  Guns fall right into that category, thanks to the incredibly thoughtless interpretation of the Second Amendment by Justice Scalia.

Guns in America have a greater value to the obsessed military grade weapons owner than your beloved children.  Their blood, splattered in the halls of Sandy Hook and Parkland mean absolutely nothing.  Their memory means nothing.  Victims are conspirators in today’s America.

Abortion is murder, but the actual murder of toddlers is nothing more than an acceptable loss.

We now live in a completely self-centered, all about me society. 

Freedom of Speech used to mean the right to express any opinions without censorship or restraint. That does not give anyone the right to say whatever the hell they want to anyone they want, which is what we are seeing on Youtube every single day.

Racism has come out of the closet where it has been living and thriving quietly in semi-retirement, wrapped in Confederate flags, just waiting for its return.

By removing literacy, civility, and vision from our everyday life, each and every one of us is allowing Trump to thrive and it is time to put a fucking end to it now.

God knows what the hell Bob Mueller is doing, but to sit around and wait for him to take Trump out is a fool’s errand. The GOP, led by the single worst person in America, Devon Nunes, is actively manufacturing the next conspiracy to convince stupid America that the Mueller Investigation is a witch hunt.   They are actively petitioning for sensitive evidence from the Department of Justice so they can fuck with the investigation.

And what did you do today to stop it?

My personal prescription is simple:

We need to return to the sixties and once again literally take to the streets and ignite a counter-revolution.  If blood has to flow in our streets (like the blood of innocent black men who get shot on a regular basis) it might as well be the blood of true Patriots who refuse to give up their democratic principles and allow this scumbag to rule for one more second.

It is time for real revolutionaries to appear on the scene and become the sane voice that we desperately need.  We need this generation’s, Jerry Rubin. Chicago Seven.

We have to elevate the status of the press and let them do what the Washington Post did to Nixon: with the single greatest weapon in our arsenal: the truth.

It is time for you to get the fuck off the internet and stop being so goddamn passive aggressive.

It is time to stop watching MSNBC or CNN until your head implodes and all you do is SCREAM at the switched off  TV.

We have allowed this. 

We continue to allow this.

I for one will not stand for it anymore.

I will not allow America to become a Demockracy.

Grow your fucking hair long again.

Let your freak flag fly.

Take to the streets.

Protest.  LOUDLY.

Get arrested.

Fuck taking a knee.

Take a knee to your corrupt government.

Don’t let the GOPhuck Yourselves rule over you for one more second.

End the careers of Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan and Trey fucking Gowdy.

Fuck 2020.
